Spring is my favourite time of year, how about you?
Easter has been celebrated for thousands of years, way beyond the resurrection stories of Christ over 2000 years ago. In our ancient Wiccan and Pagan traditions in the UK and Europe the goddess Eostre or Eastra, a goddess associated with SPRING. According to Babylonian mythology this weekend also marks the resurrection of the Tammuz, the ancient God of fertility who was rescued by Ishtar from the ‘underworld’. It’s a beautiful story best exemplified in a book by Tricia McCannon, The return of the Divine Sophie.
Whatever your beliefs and thoughts, this is a time for CELEBRATION, for RENEWAL, for welcoming in the SPRING and fresh ENERGY, a time of RE AWAKENING.
It is a great time to have a SPRING CLEAN OUT of your home, or of your body. Great time to set new intentions, for inviting in new energy and setting up new routines. What would you like to let go of? What would you like to welcome in? A great time to re kick start your meditation, your yoga practices, or kick start a Healthy routine with exercise!
