November-Full Moon, Halloween, Shadow season

Full Moon May Ibiza
Full Moon Samhain Halloween Surrendering

Full Moon, Samhain, Halloween Shadow season!!

Samhain…Surrendering, Silence, Centering.

SSSSSSSssssssssshhhhhhh…Surrendering, Silence, Centering.

It’s Ssssshhhhhh time- time to dial down the external world and LISTEN.

Silence, Surrender, and Centering. Dunno about you, but I’m beyond grateful for this time of year. The chaos and intensity of summer has subsided, and we can settle into Scorpio season and the spirit of SILENCE.

The moment for our ancestors / soul / angels to whisper some truths to our weary souls. The veil is thin. Are ya listening???Life has felt like a ship in a storm for so many these last couple of months. Moments of “ahhh” stillness, a chance to breathe, were quickly interrupted by family crises, health scares, work dramas, financial messes, and the relentless drumbeat of climate and global anxiety. If you’ve somehow sidestepped all that, I suspect you’ve been (very wisely) laying extremely low, keeping your world super simple—and honestly, well done you for that.

The external world, with its wars, storms, and crises, will continue. My strong feeling is that the most radical act right now is to DIAL. EVERYTHING. DOWN.

I just spent five days solo on Formentera, and it was a profound reminder: when we turn the volume of modern life to mute, the whispers of nature and simplicity are allowed to SPEAK. From moments of deep profound painful loneliness, to enjoying the solitude and everything in between…its good (and important) to create these gaps…

In that quiet, our inner voice finds its strength—our wise self, our ‘big self,’ the voice of God, our guides, our soul… whatever that means to you. And that voice is infinitely more insightful than anything the 24/7 news cycle is serving up.As we move into the deep introversion of Halloween and Samhain, this is the perfect time to anchor in. Here’s what’s feeling essential:Grounding, Slow Movement: This is the moment for Iyengar and Yin. For slow flow and self-care yoga. (I have plenty of sequences if you need—just shout).Strict Scroll Scrutiny: For my fellow neurospicy souls who crave that fast dopamine hit, scrolling is our kryptonite. When I find myself reaching for the phone, I literally say “STOP,” put it down, and switch my attention to CURIOSITY. What’s interesting in this room? How does my body feel? Is my center contracted or expanded?

Commit to the Practice: I’ve been using Insight Timer with David Ji daily for over two years. It’s a non-negotiable. I’ve attached some of my favourite simple practises to get you started.Plant Seeds, Don’t Force Harvests: We all go through seasons of sowing and sprouting. Ask yourself which one you’re in. If it’s a sowing season, commit to planting something simple—a winter vegetable (literally or metaphorically take it as you need ), a small creative idea. Do it without attachment to the outcome, trusting it will sprout in its own time.Curiosity Over Passion, Being Over Doing: It’s easier than ever to get overwhelmed and slip into a functional freeze.

Right now, follow curiosity instead of grand passion. Prioritize listening and being over frantic action. Avoid drama triangles, and low level convo (just my feeling)

Choose slow strength training over sprints. Nurture small circles where you feel fully seen over large, chaotic crowds. This is our work now: to build our inner citadel of silence, to surrender the need to control the storm, and to return, again and again, to our unshakable center.

Honouring the Threshold: A Modern Take on SamhainMy own connection to this time of year is complicated. My Irish maternal lineage is wrought with devastation and abuse, and yet—or perhaps because of this—I feel a pull to explore the ancient roots that run deeper than recent history. There is a power here, in the old Celtic/Pagan tradition of Samhain, that feels worth reclaiming.Samhain was far more than a precursor to Halloween; it was a profound moment in the Celtic year, rich with meaning:

The Celtic New Year:

It marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of a new cycle, a time when the veil between the world of the living and the spirit world was believed to be at its thinnest.A Time of Transition: This was a “threshold” festival, signifying the shift from light to dark, from summer to winter, and symbolically, from life to death.

Sacred Bonfires: Communities lit great fires for warmth, protection, and cleansing. Offerings of crops or animals were sometimes cast into the flames.

Guising & Disguise: People wore costumes, often of animal skins, to confuse the spirits that walked the earth, protecting themselves from harm.

Offerings for the Ancestors: Food and drink were left out to appease and honor the spirits of the dead, ensuring their goodwill.Divination & Wisdom:

The thinning veil made this a potent time for seeking guidance about the future, from matters of the heart to communing with sources of ancient wisdom.

So, how do we connect with this today? I’m certainly not suggesting you slay a pig. Instead, I’ve found a profound practice in creating a special autumn altar.

Gather photos of ancestors you wish to honor—those you knew and those you only know through story. Then, with a trusted group or in the quiet of your journal, share your favourite memories. Tell their stories. Speak your gratitude for the resilience, the love, or even the lessons they passed down to you.In this simple act, we are continuing the oldest traditions: we are laying out offerings of memory, we are speaking their names to honor them, and we are seeking connection across the veil. It is a way to reclaim the sacredness of this threshold and weave our own thread back into the ancient tapestry.

November-  Water Therapy at a Salt Water pool in ibiza – this is for really learning to let ourselves receives and reclaim our inner magician.  If you are interested in learning how to become an epic water therapists I run 3 day training events 121 and in small groups.

2026- I am open to authentic (and fun!) collabs.

It’s hard to find words to express how this therapy made me feel. I arrived in Ibiza completely frazzled — my nervous system was screaming at me to slow down — and this was exactly what I needed. From the very first moment, I felt completely safe, supported, and free all at once. It’s the most free and held I have ever felt, and I didn’t want it to end.

The experience was pure magic — better than any high you could ever imagine. I felt like I was dancing under water, floating in a state of total freedom — free from thought, from stress, from everything that weighs you down on land. Everyone should do this.

If you ever get the chance to book in with Katie — in Ibiza or wherever she may be — do it. It will be the best gift of freedom you can give yourself.

Thank you, Katie. I can’t wait until I can do it again! Sarah Walden
